How do I go about ordering a cake?

Please send us an email to contact@earthcakebristol.com with your order including the date you need the cake for, how many people you'd like the cake for, your preferred flavour (from the Price List or if you have something in mind) and any requested additional decoration (e.g. any message on top of the cake).

Are all the cakes/products vegan?

Yes 🙂 We don't work with animal derived ingredients and don't keep any at our premises. Everything is 100% dairy and egg free, vegetarian and vegan.

How much notice do you need for a cake order?

To be able to guarantee a cake for you please give us as much notice as possible. We need at least 1-2 weeks notice, however if we have the availability we do make short notice orders as well for a £5 surcharge (for orders placed within two days e.g. for the same day, next day or the day after).

If it's a bespoke/customized cake, please try to allow at least 2-3 weeks or even more time, but again please check with us first because we might have availability.

Are all the cakes have a decoration/frosting by default?

All of our cakes from the 'Price list' have a simple decoration by default e.g. non-dairy buttercream frosting or chocolate shavings (all depending on the cake you choose and except for the Victoria Sponge), anything else like flowers, fruits, figures or inscription etc. costs extra.

Do you deliver?

Only wedding cakes at the moment however we are working on it!

Where is your shop?

You can find us at 71 North Street in Bedminster Bristol, the postcode is BS3 1ES.
Parking is available on North Street (you need to pay for it Mon-Saturday) and the bus 24 comes to Bedminster from the City Centre. We are also in walking distance from the centre.

If I want to place an order, do I need to pay in advance or only on the day of collection?

Please note that payment is needed in advance to confirm your order. It can be at least a 50% deposit or full payment.
If you are ordering something within a week of collection, full payment is needed in advance. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.


Do you do wedding cakes/events/wholesale ?

Do you do afternoon tea as well?

Yes, please just click on 'Vegan Afternoon Tea' above.


It is your duty to inform us about any intolerances you may have and Earthcake accepts no responsibility for omissions or errors once payment has been agreed and paid.
Please note that while we supply 100% vegan and other free from goods, we can't guarantee a 100% nut/wheat/soy or refined sugar free environment as these are handled in our kitchen. However we have catered many customers with these intolerances before without any problems.
By making payment you are confirming you have agreed to these terms.

What is your cancellation policy?
For cakes:
As your order is made especially for you, the following conditions are implemented when an order is cancelled:
2 weeks from collection date – 25% of the total cost will be payable.
1 week from collection date – 50% of the total cost will be payable.
0 – 1 week from collection date – 100% of the total cost will be payable.
For afternoon tea:
Please note that cancellations need to be made minimum 72 hours before your booking in order for us to accommodate someone else's booking. Cancellations made within 72 hours are non-refundable.

My cake got damaged in transport, what can you do?

Please note that once a cake is collected the full responsibility of the cake is with the customer. We make the cakes to be transportable on a long distance and it comes in a cake box which also protects it, also instructions and precautions about transportation are given on collection.

I don't like my order, what is your refund policy?

In the unlikely and rare event of the above please call and return the whole order back within 24 hours of collection so we can assess the situation and offer another cake or refund (full or partial) depending on the situation.
